Terms of Use

These terms are the agreement between you and Bariatric Recipes, the publisher of this site and of the recipe collections sold on it. They apply while you browse, when you buy, and for as long as you keep using a book you bought here.

Placing an order means accepting them. If something here does not work for you, write to hello@bariatricrecipes.shop before you buy rather than after.

No payment provider is connected to this store yet. Checkout takes no money: it asks only for the email address your e-books should be sent to, and then delivers them. Nothing is charged, and no card details are collected by us or by anyone else. When payments are switched on, these terms and the checkout will say so first.

The collections are still being finished, so a file delivered today carries a note on its cover saying it is a placeholder standing in for the finished book. We would rather tell you that here than let it arrive as a surprise.

Everything else in these terms is written for the shop as it will run once both of those are true, and applies now in every respect that already works.

An e-book here is a digital file: a print-friendly PDF recipe collection that you download and keep. What you buy is a licence to use one personal copy of it. The recipes, writing, photography and design stay ours.

What the licence covers

Reading it on any device you own, printing it for your own kitchen, keeping your own backup, and cooking every recipe in it for yourself, your household and the people you feed.

Personal and non-commercial

The licence is for you. It does not cover a business, a clinic, a class, a support-group handout, a meal-prep service, or anything resold.

Anything wider than that is a conversation, not a refusal. If you want to use a collection with a group or a practice, ask us and we will work something out.

• Resell, rent, sublicense or give away the file, whole or in part.
• Put it anywhere other people can get it: a file-sharing site, a public cloud folder, a forum, a social post, a group chat.
• Share your download link. It belongs to your order, and anyone who opens it spends one of your five downloads.
• Republish the recipes, photographs or text as your own — on a blog, in print, or inside another product.
• Remove the cover, the credits or the copyright notice.

A link that is clearly being shared in public gets revoked. If that was your link and it was a mistake, tell us — we would far rather issue you a new one than argue about it.

When your order is placed, every book in it gets its own download link, sent to the email address you gave at checkout. The files themselves live in a private store; a link is a short-lived signed door into it, not a public address.

Seven days

A link expires 7 days after it is issued.

Five downloads

A link stops working after 5 downloads, whichever comes first.

Save the file

Download it once and keep it somewhere you will find it again. A phone's downloads folder is usually not that place.

An expired or used-up link is not a lost book. Ask for a fresh one and we will send it, free, for as long as we are trading.

Prices are in US dollars and are shown on each e-book's page and again in the cart before you order.

Prices change from time to time, but the price shown at checkout is the price of that order. If a book in your cart is already inside a bundle in the same cart, the cart drops the duplicate so the same recipes are never charged for twice.

Because no payment provider is connected yet, checkout currently completes your order without taking any money — see what is live today. Refunds are covered by the refund policy.

These are recipes. They are food, not medical, nutritional or clinical advice, they are not a treatment plan, and nothing on this site replaces the team looking after you.

Your surgeon, dietitian and care team know your surgery, your stage, your restrictions, your supplements and your targets. Follow the plan they gave you. Where a recipe and their plan disagree, their plan wins, every time.

Talk to them before you change what you eat, and read every ingredient list against your own allergies, intolerances and medication. Textures, portions and timing after surgery are personal; a recipe cannot know yours.

If you feel unwell, that is a question for your care team or a doctor, not for a cookbook.

Collections get revised, renamed, combined and retired. We may change what is for sale, what it costs and what a collection contains, without notice.

That does not reach backwards. A book you have already bought stays yours under this licence, and a download link that is already live keeps working until it expires.

We try to keep the site up and the recipes right, but we cannot promise the site is always available or the files are free of errors. Find a mistake in a recipe and tell us: fixing it in the book is the better outcome for everybody.

If we get your order wrong, we fix it: a fresh download link, the right book, or a refund inside the refund window.

Beyond that, what we can be held responsible for is limited to what you paid for the e-book in question. We are not responsible for what happens in your kitchen, for how a recipe fits the care plan you were given, or for losses nobody could reasonably have seen coming.

None of this removes the rights your local consumer law gives you. Where a term here conflicts with those rights, those rights win.

When these terms change, the date at the top of this page changes with them. An order is governed by the terms that were live when it was placed.
